The Moosegg open-air theater has been in existence for over twenty years and has made a name for itself as a cultural institution far beyond the Emmental during this time. And this at around 1000 meters above sea level in the most beautiful surroundings, with stunning views and excellent gastronomy and hotels. Plays with a strong connection to the Emmental are performed here or those that match the unique charm of the large forest stage. This year we will be performing the musical Nonnsens 2- They're Back by Dan Goggin from June 12 to 26, 2024. From July 4 to August 17, 2024, the folk play Beindlichrämer by Michael Bully Herbig will be performed.

Nonnsens 2 - They are back Musical by Dan Goggin
After successes such as "Non(n)sens" and "I Do! I Do!- the musical four-poster bed" on the Moosegg, the nuns return to the Waldbühne. The musical "Nonnsens 2" follows on from the first part, but can also be attended without prior knowledge, because one thing is clear: when five nuns rock the stage, no stone is left unturned.
About the musical "Nonnsens 2- They're back"
Sister Amnesia still suffers from amnesia, Sister Hubert still can't come to terms with her shadowy existence as a deputy, Sister Robert Anne still excels at virtuoso veil dances and Sister Leo becomes the queen of the rock'n'roll shoe. Superior Sister Maria Regina and her dance- and pleasure-loving nuns decide to celebrate the success of their charity show with a second performance. The Mother Superior, once a tightrope walker, introduces the team of nuns to the non(n)sens inexperienced audience.

Every summer, a folk play is performed on the Waldbühne. A large ensemble, consisting of enthusiastic amateurs and professional theater professionals, plays on the mountain. After successful performances of Gotthelf, Simon Gfeller and world literature in recent years, this year we are devoting ourselves to a fast-paced comedy by Michael Bully Herbig, who became famous with films such as "Der Schuh des Manitu" and "(T)Raumschiff Surprise".
About the piece "Beindlichrämer"
The Beindlichrämer is supposed to fetch little Max, but falls in love with his mother Leni. Quite confused - he has never felt love before - he leaves little Max on earth and swindles the cheat and drunk Elise into paradise instead. If his trick is not yet noticed up there, it becomes difficult down below. The devil immediately recognizes his opportunity and seduces the Beindlichrämer with the prospect of a normal life on earth. In return, he is no longer allowed to transport anyone to the afterlife.
